Wow! We got featured on a website.

Interface is a magazine and website that lets teachers learn more about how to use ICT and technology in their classrooms.  They featured us on their webpage with two other class blogs, Moturoa Blog in Nelson and Livewires in Puahue.  Awesome!

At the Burma Trail

It was dim and dark at night.  I held on to the thick string, walking over the roots and through the trees, leaves crashing behind me, the wind slowly swishing on me.  It all happened at the Burma Trail.

The Climbing Tree

The tree is narrow, scratchy and tall.  I didn’t struggle to climb up the branches.  I felt thrilled that I got to the top.

I steered the handlebars and the wheel bounced up and down.  I almost crashed.  The BMX bike almost fell down the big hill.

Paperless Day

I signed up for paperless day (April 22), but sadly wasn’t in class.  I kept my side of the bargain and my co-teacher ran a paperless programme for the day (and I most of the next day).

Students are busy working on movies, slideshows and blog entries about their day ( they’ll appear on the class blog), but here’s a taster of what Room 13 did.  Made entirely in Google’s Picasa with a soundtrack created in Aviary’s Myna audio editor.
