The Climbing Tree

The tree is narrow, scratchy and tall.  I didn’t struggle to climb up the branches.  I felt thrilled that I got to the top.

BMX

I steered the handlebars and the wheel bounced up and down.  I almost crashed.  The BMX bike almost fell down the big hill.

Wet Kayak

Wobbling along in my kayak with my paddle splashing in the water, my toes were tickling.  I started to get wetter as I slowly drifted back to shore.

Tree Victory

I climbed the rough branches.  I was itchy and scratchy, grazed and tattered.  I was careful and cunning, reaching out awkwardly to the next branch.

My arms and legs were weak, but I was nearly at the top of the tall tree.

I could see the leaves, I was at the top!

Holidays

Hi Room 13.  I hope you’re all enjoying the break and have done some interesting things.  A week has gone by already and only 10 more days until we’re back at school.

Have you a story to tell?  Have you been somewhere or done something exciting?  Send your story in an email.  Do you have photos or video to share?  Send them in an email and add a story to describe or explain them.

See you in 10 days.

Mr F.

Ouch!

Last weekend me and my mum went rollerskating.  When I was rollerskating I fell over and scraped my leg.  Boy it was sore.  It made a big mark and now it feels like sand stuck to my leg.  It does not feel sore anymore.

Hand Game

At Camp Karakariki when the Warrior Scouts were going to climb the big tree, two girls were getting bored.  While the rest were climbing the tree they thought of having some fun.  So they decided to play “Under the Bambushes”.  You can try it when you watch.  It is fun.

TRY IT!

Milk Robot

Dads company is called Fonterra and they are the are the biggest exporter of milk products in the world.  My dad is an engineer who looks after robots.  This robot picks up cartons of milk powder in cans and puts them onto a pallet.  It can put 50 cartons onto a pallet faster than a person can.  Before it puts the cartons on the pallet it puts a slip sheet on it so the whole lot can be pushed into a big container.
